Bolton residents, who are living with and beyond cancer, are being invited to a FREE Health and Wellbeing event being staged in the town next month.
The event will take place on Wednesday, 6th November 2024 at The Bridge Church, 109 Bradford Street, Bolton, BL2 1JX, from 1.00 PM to 3.30 PM.
Bolton NHS Foundation Trust and Bolton Macmillan Cancer Information and Support service have joined forces again to host another dedicated event.
It will provide people who have undergone, or are completing a course of treatment for cancer, with the opportunity to find out what support, information, advice and facilities are available to help them adjust to life with and beyond cancer.
The event is organised by the Bolton Macmillan Cancer Information & Support Service and is one of several health and wellbeing events taking place across the country.
It will be supported by Cancer Nurse Specialists from the Royal Bolton Hospital, Bolton CVS, Healthwatch, Adult Nutrition and Dietetics Service, Bolton Hospice and many more, and there will be the opportunity to visit information stands and ask questions.
The Bolton event will include two short talks about the service offered by Bolton Macmillan Cancer Information & Support Service and a talk on the 'Emotional Effects of Cancer' and 'Prehab for Cancer'. Free refreshments will be available throughout the afternoon and will provide an opportunity to talk to other people with similar experiences, which can provide reassurance, reduce anxiety, and combat a sense of isolation.
As places are limited, booking is essential, so for more information, or to book a place, please contact Sue Summerfield, Kelly Gordon, Beth Baugh or Jackie Wright on 01204 390625 or email boh-tr.boltoncancerinfo@nhs.net
