New Bolton Clinical Commissioning Group Campaign Raising Awareness of the Need to Use Medicines Responsibly.
Last week (01.03.2014), the CCG launched a campaign to raise awareness of the importance of using medicines responsibly. Bolton spends £50 million on prescription medicines every year, but much of these are not used or are taken incorrectly. The CCG is urging patients to play their part by helping reduce waste and make sure that antibiotics, in particular, are used in the right way.

The Dunstan Partnership has recently achieved the Pride In Practice Gold Award to celebrate their dedication to delivering an excellent service to all patients.
Pride in Practice is a service provided by The Lesbian & Gay Foundation to GP practices to support improvements in health outcomes for their lesbian, gay and bisexual (LGB) patients, as well as strengthen their engagement with, and understanding of, that community.
The Lesbian & Gay Foundation also provide a Befriending Service. The Befriending Service is aimed at those who identify as lesian, gay, bisexual or questioning, over the age of 50, who live in the Greater Manchester area.
