Get To Know Where To Go – Stay Healthy This Winter
Winter can be tough with colder days and all those coughs, colds, and bugs going around. Plus, the NHS is under extra pressure, so it’s more important than ever to know what to do and where to go if you’re feeling unwell.
Find the right service for your needs:
Visit the ‘Get To Know Where To Go’ page on the NHS Greater Manchester website.
Think Pharmacy First:
Your local pharmacy can give expert advice on minor illnesses and even provide some prescription medicines (age restrictions apply) without a GP appointment. Check out the ‘Think Pharmacy First’ page for details.
Repeat Prescriptions:
If you take regular medicines, order in good time before the Christmas and New Year bank holidays!
Your ‘Just in Case’ Winter Contact List:
Teeth: Greater Manchester Urgent Dental Service – Call 0333 332 3800 (8am–10pm daily, including weekends & bank holidays).
Eyes: Greater Manchester Urgent Eye Care Service – Find a practice here.
Mental Health: Visit 111.nhs.uk or call 111 and select option 2.
Not sure what to do? Go to 111.nhs.uk (for ages 5+) or call NHS 111.
Stay safe, stay well, and let’s look after each other this winter!
